Tar Heel Service Opportunity
We are currently raising money to fund one of the P.E.T Project (Personal Energy Transportation) mobility devices that allow those in third world countries to navigate the terrain with disabilities. These are all terrain wheelchair type mobility devices. It takes approximately $300 to pay for one. I would like to raise enough money for one and would be thrilled if we could raise enough for two. Any amount would be appreciated. If you are interested in joining us to for a volunteer day where we help build these devices, we will be volunteering on November 9th from 9am-1pm. All levels of skill are appreciated from painting, to drilling, to using a jigsaw. Wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. It is located at Penney Farms 4566 Lewis Ave. Penney Farms, FL 32079.
